It Won’t Happen to My Kid–The culture of marijuana and alcohol use in Arlington

Loading Map....
Change the “It’s Inevitable” culture around teen drug and alcohol use. You’ll leave this discussion with ideas about how you can make a difference in your family and in your community.
We’ll start the discussion with:
  •   An Arlington family who shares their experience dealing with their teenager’s serious abuse of marijuana and other substances and how that affected the entire family.
  •   A young adult in recovery who will talk about the journey through high school substance abuse and keeping it a secret from parents
  •  Some ideas for how to start the conversations at home
Then, join small group conversations with teens and other adults to share ideas on ways to communicate with your teen and the community about these issues.
WHEN:   November 15, 2011
WHERE: Arlington Central Library Auditorium
TIME:  7p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
